Graham Tizzard

NCS role

As part of the service team I am primarily involved in the collection, refinement and solution of crystal structure data. I also assist in the maintenance of the diffractometers and the archiving of data from the service.

I have recently completed my PhD entitled 'Characterisation and Investigation of Structural Relationships of 4,4'-disubstituted Chalcones', supervised by Professor Mike Hursthouse. Previously to this I obtained my BSc (Hons) in Chemistry at the University of Southampton.I became a post doctoral research assistant for the EPSRC National Crystallography Service in July 2009.

My areas of interest are intermolecular interactions and packing relationships between families of structures.
